The Book You Will Want to Carry With You Everywhere

Everywhere you look, you can hear how meaningful it is to work on improving yourself. Whether it’s organic food, regular exercise, meditation, or similar things that are healthy for our body and soul. Self-education has become an important part of everyday life – No matter how old you are, you can learn all kinds of things thanks to the expansion of the internet. And if you want – you should, of course!

One area that we will talk about in this article, also in expansion, is all around us – modern psychology. Life coaches, business coaches, webinars, e-books, online courses… You can probably think of at least one life- or business coach at this very moment. You can hear rumors that many of them are selling you snake oil, that they don’t have proven results, and want to earn as much money they can before vanishing. And no matter if that is just gossip or a real story, you may still be wondering if there is something in it that can help you – Many of us have already been there.

There are many people that don’t believe in affirmations, setting goals, or the law of attraction. Don’t worry, this article will not be about what you should believe in or not – that is entirely up to you. One of the main aspects of this article is on identifying common important points that you can use to your advantage.

We are all aware that today there are many books about these subjects, and that it is quite difficult to choose what you should or should not read. Especially if you are one of these people that love to strive concisely into the topic and can not settle until you find out everything about it. The not-so-pleasant truth is that you just can’t, and that is something hard to deal with when keeping in mind that there is an incredible amount of information and that books are being printed every second.

Fortunately, here are a couple of pieces of advice that you can use when making a list of books you want to read. You can use this tactic for any topic you want to make proper research on, not just modern psychology.

Here we go:

First, make a list (yes, a list of a list, really convenient!) of the main topics within one area that you want to find out more about.

Second, if you have some experts whose work you are following, send them a message kindly asking for their book recommendations. Don’t forget to include topics that you have marked in the previous step. You can also check, for example, their Instagram highlights, because many will post their book favourites.

Third, try to find similar books based on the previous steps. You can just search book titles on Google and find similar ones that cover topics you’re interested in.

Fourth, spend some time reading a few book reviews. People love sharing their opinions and this can help you make priorities in your booklist.

Fifth, keep reading this article because one of these books is maybe right here!

The book that we will talk about is not some typical modern psychology book with plenty of affirmations and ‘’you have to do this or that” tasks. It is not even a book that resembles an encyclopedia or a book that will require a couple of weeks to read.

In less than 150 pages, the author has written much more than you would think possible for a book of that length, while also doing it in a very simple and effective way.

If you are coming from the Balkans, you have probably heard of author dr. Kenan Crnkić. His book with the intriguing title Beware which wolf you feed (Pazi Kojeg Vuka Hranis) has been translated into several foreign languages and had become very popular.

Dr. Crnkić himself says that he is aware that many readers will think how the title sounds funny or jargonic. He will not tell you immediately what it really means. First, he will tell you a couple of stories that will bring you closer to the conclusion yourself. Like some teacher or guide that teaches you to read between the lines. This feeling will probably follow you as you keep on reading the book.

Almost every chapter begins with impressible short stories that are making more than interesting introductions with remarkably valuable lessons. These stories combined with wise author words will incentivize you to think more thoroughly and find a deeper meaning. Each of these chapters poses different questions that will make you start questioning yourself and seeking answers. If you are not in the mood for this type of self-questioning don’t let that distract you from this book because the way that this author encourages you to start asking yourself is not something that will draw you up to the wall. Of course, this statement will be much more understandable once you start reading.

And that’s not all – it’s almost impossible to explain the concept of this book. If we start doing that, we would ruin your readers’ experience and that is definitely not our intention. Instead, we think that every reader should experience this book on his own.

We can recommend you one thing – use a pencil and paper when exploring Beware which wolf you feed. First, you will start exploring the book and then the book will help you explore yourself! And since you would probably decide to return to this book more than once, you will always find something new that you missed the last time.

Now, here is the final step – enjoy reading! 🙂
